Victoria Jordy Cook - Creative Director


After gaining a 2.1 Bachelor's Degree in Media and Performance from Salford University Victoria Jordy Cook began work as a stand-up and sketch comedian and currently performs with an all female comedy sketch show 'Kooky Babooshka'. This company, and Jordy's previous company '4 Blondes and a Blackhead' have toured extensively, finding critical acclaim at both theatres and festivals alike. Jordy was also a finalist in Nivea Funny Woman of the Year 2007, performing at the Comedy Store in London.

A regular voice on BBC Radio Manchester and television success  presenting 'Gloves Off', 'The Basement' and 'Interference' prompted Jordy to start her own very successful company 'Missing Rib Ticklers' which offered stand-up comedy classes to women. Jordy has recently finished filming for Channel 4's The Comedy Lab and is also making a name as a comedy writer.

Victoria has had a varied career as a facilitator working closely with disabled teenagers, prisoners, young offenders, teenagers with terminal illness and vunerable women. Jordy is constantly striving to find exciting and innovative ways to send positive messages to people through a medium that unites everybody - laughter.

Sarah Birch - Director

Sarah is also an experienced workshop leader, running workshops for children with statements and curriculum based workshops. She has delivered workshops for the Youth Theatres at Wigan Pier and Chester Gateway Theatre, where she also worked as an actress with their professional companies.

She has worked extensively with vulnerable adults with Wigan Social Services, in both day care centres and accommodation centres and has written and delivered successful creative workshops in this setting.

After gaining a Masters Degree in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmith's College in London, Sarah's more recent experience has been working in Arts Management, specifically in the charity sector. This has included working for Sudden Adult Death UK, as the North West coordinator, and initiating and organising Charity Concert Evenings to huge success. Most recently Sarah has been working for the London based Opera Company 'Second Movement' as their Administrator and Press Officer, running a busy office and liaising with both regional and national press.

- Sarah is a wiganer, but does not like pies. She loves having a lie in and eating chocolate with her daughter.
